For more than 50 years, the Core family has served Ontario neighbours by providing quality fuels and exceptional service to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. From propane and heating oil delivery for your home to a full range of commercial fuels and lubricants for your farm or business, we have everything you need to keep your family comfortable and your operation running smoothly.
James and Kevin Core, who had grown up in the family business through the 1980s, opened Core Fuels Ltd. and built a shop at 219 Lorne Avenue East in Stratford. They carried forward the same values their parents had built and grew the business from there.
Scott Skinner joined the team as a driver. He learned the business quickly and took on logistics for the company, a role he continues to hold today.
Steve Culliton joined as sales and credit manager, bringing a strong work ethic and a genuine focus on customer service that has been part of the company culture ever since.
Together with Scott and Steve, James and Kevin established Red Cap Propane Ltd., offering bulk propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers across Ontario.
Red Cap Propane expanded through a partnership with Dave Moore Fuels in Exeter, Ontario, adding Lambton, Middlesex, and Huron Counties to its service area.
Core Fuels opened an office in Alma, Ontario, and added a second Card Lock location at 117 Huron Street in Embro.
Core Fuels purchased the fuel division of S.T. Loveys Ltd. of Hickson, Ontario, honouring the same commitment to customers that Loveys had built.
Core Fuels expanded the Stratford Card Lock to include natural gas, propane, and diesel exhaust fluid. Red Cap Propane installed a bulk loading facility in Bornholm, Ontario.
Core Fuels installed its own bulk loading facility in Stratford to better serve customers across the region. A new full-service Alma location opened at 6976 Wellington Road 7.
Red Cap Propane acquired Waterloo County Propane in Cambridge, expanding service across Waterloo Region and surrounding communities.
Red Cap Propane welcomed the propane delivery customers of The Source for Home Comfort, continuing a long tradition of steady, community-focused growth across Ontario.
